We just had a rapid unscheduled armageddon, also known as a crash.
Things appear to be back to normal now. We're looking into the cause.

Yeah, I prefer expected crushes, the unexpected get me rid of a lot of stuff :(

The most recent of our 4 or 5 requests for donations to fund the future or present needs of the game earned a bit of money which we have spent sparingly and very carefully. Around 2.5 K remain unspent of that money until such time as we determine another pressing need. To call it profit suggests a very different model, which we rejected years ago. We are non-profit, dude ...
