Code: Select all
Hello all,
In response to a very good suggestion by a Talon, I've implemented a new
command into the Newbie Pin. It is now possible to turn off messages by
players you find irritating, or who are spamming the line incessantly.
The command <nignore> is now in place to let you silence (for yourself)
idiotic stuff. Newbie Helpers who have broken their pin in frustration due
to the nonsense of such people will hopefully now feel they can safely
return to their helpful pin-wearing ways without fear of being subject to
endless unpredictable evil by fools.
By the way. Don't be a fool. Just because I'm implementing this doesn't mean
that the rules for ntell use have changed. Abuse the line and you will be
restricted. But at least now, when a wizard isn't around to restrict someone
in your moment of crisis, you can simply ignore the offender and remain
available to help people.
The new pin is active, but if you have been logged on during the change you
probably have the old copy. A relog, or breaking the pin and returning to
the Common Board to get a new one should fix it for you.
Please mail me with any bugs you notice.
Cheers,
G.
Mmmmmm ... pie ...

Excellent change. Thank you
If something I wrote sounds confusing ... assume you misunderstood it.

Perhaps time to get back the pin.
The views posted by me on this forum is not the views of the character Amberlee in-game.
If you ask for my opinion here, you will get MY opinion, not that of my character.

This is great. Thanks Gorboth!
There are three types of people: those who can count, and those who can't.
