But is kender an asset to your team? Will he tank like a Neidar? Will he deal damage like a Calian or SoHM? Will he rescue like a knight? Heal like a ranger? Ok, he can taunt, wow.
I hope I'm wrong and just grumbling and kenders have something cool up their sleeves.
You wouldn't really expect a child to go around managing to kill a bunch of tough people, would you?
Kender are good at "finding" and "relocating" and "borrowing" items.
If a kender could "borrow" an enemy's weapons, that would make them very useful, no?
Unfortunately, wielded/worn items can't be stolen. And mobs don't (as far as I've seen) switch out weapons mid-battle.
So, a kender could borrow the nasty orc's spare sword, but the nasty orc would never have tried to use it anyhow.
If one teammate could disarm, and the kender could rescue the newly unwielded item, that would make them a great asset.
Also--I'm not sure if this has been pointed out before--kender don't really care about money.
And Genesis is built around money.
So, if they were a guild better suited for role-play, then kender would never really up their skills without breaking character.
So they'd never really be great fighters anyhow, even if high combat skills were available.
Just some points. Mainly the first half is relevant.
