Greetings Denizens of the Donut,
I have been conferring with the Gnomish council regarding an influx of
automatans. They assure me that they have nothing to do with their
construction but have agreed to help me in any way they can.
These automatans look like normal citizens of Genesis but have
an underhanded plan to take over the realms and enslave all those
who might stand against them.
In an effort to do so, they run the realms tirelessly gathering
knowledge, resources, and expertise. All so that should any try
to stop them or stand against them, they will fail.
When I first came to the position of Arch of Players I explored
this phenomenon. There were rules in place to help curb this, but
they seem to have been unable to work. These automated machines run
throughout the realms reaking havoc and causing mayhem.
So, I have met with the gnomish council again to confer and we have
decided to make adjustments to how we will deal with these auotmated
mechanoids.
The first offense - A Warning.
The second offense - Death, no recovery, loss of equipment.
The third offense - Deletion (including removal of combat experience).
I hope that this will prevent citizens from engaging in the construction
and activation of these automotans.
As a note, I had recently caught one such automaton under the old
rules and as such this player has been granted the old punishment.
Any further automatons caught will be subject to the above rules.
As a general reminder, please familiarize yourself with the rules of
the realms. <help rules> <help botting> <help double-logging> and
<help anonymity>
These rules are in place to ensure the donut does not fall into anarchy
and chaos. They aren't hard to follow and I hope that everyone will do
what they can to abide by them.

One thing I don't understand. The only thing that was changed in the rule is punishment? I see something regarding "captchas" in the rules now, is that something new as well?

The captcha thing is nothing new, and it has been mentioned in the rules before too.

I've NEVER seen it so far. Is it automatic or wizards send it manually to someone who they suspect? If it's just a line of text it's nearly impossible to see it amidst all the combat spam.

It's not hard to see Mallor, regardless of combat spam. It's many lines and takes up a very large part of your screen and keeps appearing until you notice it, unless you're not at the keyboard. Any player watching their screen has nothing to fear from being checked. Bots should always beware though!

Its not the seeing it as much as making out what it is tbh, some of those numbers are formatted horribly

Yeah I know, that's why the rules says a commune works too if it's hard to see. Seems like the readability depend a bit on client settings, fonts, etc.
Gorboth really should implement his new fancy captcha though, it doesn't have those issues and it's even kind of immersive. *nudge Gorboth*

Weird then, does it also show in communication box?
