With the departure of winter in Krynn the warm rays of spring melt the snows
blocking the passes around the Dragonarmy-occupied fortress of Pax Tharkas.

Just now, a group of prisoners of the Dragon Highlord Verminaard have taken the
opportunity to flee his mines - with the assistance of a band of unlikely
heroes - into the Tharkadan mountain range that border the fortress to its
south.

A wild and dangerous part of Krynn, the refugees desperately flee in search of
a place of safety... something Lord Verminaard is determined they will never
see, as with them travels his greatest fear and greatest threat - a disciple of
the Old Gods of Light, and the return of divine healing to the lands.
