Denizens of the Donut,

I am happy to announce that Genesis has a newly-minted Archwizard of Events
(AoE) who brims with enthusiasm and ideas. Let's all give a big round of
applause (he likes that) to Cherek! I am sure he'll be cooking up some fun
things for us to do to earn all that glory and all those fun rewards.

We offer thanks and appreciation to Petros, our outgoing AoE, for his time
in the position and for taking up the mantle in the wake of Stern's
departure.

The position is in excellent hands, and we look forward to our new season
of events to come!

G.

I have actually wanted to run some sort of Fireball World Cup for some time now, but been a bit little unsure about if people like Fireball and would like to participate. I've thought I am one of few who enjoy that game. But that you both mention it is encouraging!

My first mission is to look at the last event and officially end it. Stay tuned for a post about that.

My first mission is to look at the last event and see if there are further rewards to deal out. Everyone who completed their eggs already got a QXP reward, so I am not sure if there are any more rewards. But either way I'll definitely make a post about it.

Fireball - it's cool already, but would be super cool to update it a bit for event-purposes (first of all it shouldn't be stat-dependant, I would love to see some kind of points pool that you can allocate before tournament into different skills like tacklig, shooting, passing etc - Fifa style!).
All participants could be rewarded slightly with qexp for each match played in tournameny - that way you'll get quite a few players inteested imho :)

Eggs - I believe that there should be special reward for 10 fastest as well.

Yeah removing stats form the equation is a must for a fireball World Cup. Fifa-style stat allocations is a fun idea though! I think it could be a lot of fun, but yes, there has to be something there to lure players in, because I think a lot of players doesn't even know the game exists right now. And few have played it more than a few times at most.

Yeah looking through old Easter events it seems like 10 fastest get a bonus reward, and titles for top two or three. Those who found the most total shards seem to have received a reward too in the past. I've managed to find data for the fastest ones, but right now it looks like the number of shards found per player were never recorded in this year's event. I'll try to dig up that data too, but no promises there. But there will definitely be some sort of rewards for the top 10 who completed their eggs, I can at least promise that!

There was no data logged for who found the most total shards to I decided it was most fair to reward all 21 players who finished their eggs based on their position instead. Petros never mentioned anything about a shard-finding category either so I suspect it was nothing he had planned either. Anyway, this concludes the Easter event. Now I am gonna think about what to do for Halloween!
