 |                                                              |
 |  During December 16 and January 3 the Wheel-Of-Fun was       |
 |  spun a total of 5.380 times, which is the most recorded     |
 |  spins since the start of this tradition in 2015.            |
 |                                                              |
 |  During the first three years people have always claimed     |
 |  they are the most unlucky, and everyone else are so lucky,  |
 |  so this year a competition was created to determine who     |
 |  actually is the luckiest. Turns out it's Montagu!           |
 |                                                              |
 |  The competition was very close for a long time, and the     |
 |  lead changed many times. Bones looked like a potential      |
 |  winner with a few days left, but ended the event with       |
 |  five bad spins in a row and finished in fourth place. Rex   |
 |  piled up a couple of good spins near the end to finish      |
 |  third. Eventually there were only two participants left,    |
 |  and it came down to the last spin for Montagu and           |
 |  Bardlin to determine the winner, with Montagu holding       |
 |  on to a one point lead. When Bardlin spun a zero it was     |
 |  all over, but to prove his luck Montagu scored one more     |
 |  point to win by two.                                        |
 |                                                              |
 |  After winning Montagu said he had "Never been so lucky!".   |
 |  We can only agree, since as most of you know, the odds of   |
 |  winning anything useful at all aren't that great. So, to    |
 |  pull off 13 points is very lucky indeed.                    |
 |                                                              |
 |  Here is what Montagu won:                                   |
 |                                                              |
 |  Date      Prize                              Points         |
 |                                                              |
 |  Dec 16    A fat bastard cake                 -              |
 |  Dec 17    A pair of knee-high brown boots    1              |
 |  Dec 18    A deep-blue full plate armour      1              |
 |  Dec 19    A jagged silver longsword          -              |
 |  Dec 20    A serpentine ivory armlet          -              |
 |  Dec 21    A black rose                       -              |
 |  Dec 22    A massive bone-spiked shield       1              |
 |  Dec 23    A plate armour of Solamnus         1              |
 |  Dec 25    A runed ironwood staff             1              |
 |  Dec 26    A pentacled silver ingot           -              |
 |  Dec 27    A decorated iron champron          1              |
 |  Dec 28    A flowing ermine-lined robe        1              |
 |  Dec 29    A bloody steel axe                 1              |
 |  Dec 30    A pair of black-rimmed glasses     -              |
 |  Dec 31    A black-gem ring                   2              |
 |  Jan  1    A big red gift box (300pc)         2              |
 |  Jan  2    A bottle of oil                    -              |
 |  Jan  3    A crimson steel longsword          1              |
 |                                                              |
 |  Lucky indeed! Although, with a total score of 13 (uh-oh!),  |
 |  the question is if it's an indication of Montagu's luck     |
 |  running out? Only time will tell.                           |

 |  As the the winner of this mini event Montagu will be        |
 |  awarded with the title "The Lucky One", a title that will   |
 |  last for 1 year. He will also receive a special lucky       |
 |  coin that he may keep for 30 days. What that one does is    |
 |  for Montagu to find out. You may claim your rewards in      |
 |  the Arch of Events office in the Tower of Realms. Don't     |
 |  forget to repeat the claim command if needed.               |
 |                                                              |
 |  As mentioned in the announcement there will be no other     |
 |  rewards for this event, as there were no effort involved    |
 |  other than visiting Sparkle once each day. Besides, most    |
 |  of those who finished in the top have received plenty of    |
 |  rewards from the wheel already!                             |

 |  The Yuletide lottery was created as a gift to all players   |
 |  in Genesis. A gift, because without you Genesis would not   |
 |  exist. Sadly, one player felt this free gift was not good   |
 |  enough and decided to try to cheat.                         |
 |                                                              |
 |  The player Jayden thought it would be a good idea to        |
 |  create over 100(!) new characters and use them to win       |
 |  prizes for his main character and various friends. This     |
 |  ridiculous attempt at cheating was of course discovered,    |
 |  and after initially trying to lie his way out, Jayden       |
 |  eventually confessed to it all.                             |
 |                                                              |
 |  For cheating in an event and for breaking the rules about   |
 |  character separation multiple times (see <help rules>)      |
 |  the player Jayden has been permanently DELETED and his      |
 |  name has been BANISHED from ever being used again.          |
 |                                                              |
 |  Please let this be a lesson for anyone who thinks it        |
 |  seems like a good idea to cheat.                            |

 |  Yule Season is now officially over in Sparkle. If you have  |
 |  any feedback on this event, please <mail aoe> from any      |
 |  post office.                                                |

Next year maybe the unluckiest player, spinning every day, could have a reward too. :)
I think Mim was extremely unlucky, but he did not spin the last few days out of frustration.

Thx for the event!! A good and fun one for very little time spend.

Yeah I was thinking of doing that, but just didn't have time to include it this year. Perhaps next year we can check who is the unluckiest as well!

Thanks for the idea. However, negative points might make people in the lead reluctant to spin, and suddenly it becomes a bit strategic. Which usually would be good, but in this case I like that it's 100% about luck. And I also like that fact that you can't win anything bad. The Christmas theme is about gifts, and a gift taking something from you isn't a good gift.:)

You'll still receive a gift since Julio believes everyone are good deep down. (He's very naive)

A short stint as AoP would cure him from that!

Good idea. It worked for me! I'll talk to Gorboth about that.

Looks like brand-new alts are luckier than most established players! Ahh, gotta love RNG! :)
