Greetings Denizens of the Donut,

I have had many of you contact me with regards to Rommik
and the Auction House. If you recall my previous post,
I am trying to get specific details about items lost.

In talking with Rommik we have agreed the best way to
deal with lost items for the time being is to refund
players the money they have spent.

While I know this means you do not get the item, it
is the simplest way to deal with the loss given the
quanitity of items being pilfered by this Nefarious
high-stakes theft ring.

As we continue to invesitgate who might be the ring
leader of this nefarious organization, I ask that
those who lose items to the Auction House please do
the following.

- Mail AoP
- Include in the mail the item you have lost please
be as specific as possible. Including the log of the
item in the AH would be the best.
- Provide evidence you have placed a bid on the item
and have won the item.

Once we recieve this mail we will verify the item
has in fact been lost and we will reimburse the cost
of the item.

Please keep in mind this is an interim solution until
we are able to get to the bottom of why the items are
vanishing from right under Rommiks' guards noses.

To reiterate:

- Send a mail to aop
- Include the _specific items_ not just "lost an item"
- Provide evidence you have won the item.

How am I supposed to remember what items I have bought, perhaps a couple of months ago?

Even those I have bought recently I haven't kept a log on, and even less proof that I won the auction.

I buy stuff all the time, and basically none of it do I know what is.
Whatever imbued items of some kind, that was cheap enough for me to think it worth it.

Just set up a macro so that when you buy an item, it triggers an algorithm to encode the data and store them securely within the sub-basements of your machine's circuitry. Then activate another algorithm to extract, decode, and send the information to the game's administrative offices. Simple!

I never got X plat from a Y I sold to Rommik. You see, it's been like a year now. I mailed back then but idk

What?

I fully agree with Jar. How the hell I should know what I have won? When I put 30 pc on 10 items, log out and next day I see I have 150 pc back and 5 items I should receive from Rommik. Tell me how I could know which items I have won?

Maybe just turn off anonymous option and you will have in logs (you have logs, don't you) who won what?

And what kind of proofs you would like to see in logs? Something like that :

"Your bid of 22 platinum for auction 74xxx has been accepted." ??

same here, and mine was just months ago, personally i dont care about the money, its just that ogrestones are so rare and hard for me to get and one of the few items useful for a monk (arent we lucky ) And i had no idea that this bug excisted so i didnt make notes how much money i payed or how the thingy the imbue was on was described, i just expected to get it

All i know it was a useless item with an ogre imbue and i have no idea what i payed but probably not that little, it being an ogre stone and they go hard. I personally dont care about the money.

I do understand how hard it is for the wizards to fix this the right way.
But maybe you can just collect from every player the info they got? I mean i ve send in a bugreport and mailed the wizards right away so it can be checked i didnt lie.
Im sure we can work things out, it will just takes a bit longer.

Is the bug now fixed? I hardly dare to buy or sell something at auction now.

Seems auction is working again, got my imbue back
