Khalakhor News

Code: Select all

Dear Donut Dwellers,

The ancient lands of Khalakhor are currently undergoing minor
restoration and cleanup works. During them some areas may become
closed for a few weeks (just like the village of Sa Morgan
currently is), and some rooms, items and npcs may change their
behaviour.

The changes are more of a clean-up and standardizing nature than
anything else. Any feedback will be welcome.

I am currently going over a long backlog of bugs, typos and ideas
accumulated for the domain over the last (checks notes) 10 (ten)
years and hopefully will be able to mark all of them as done in
a couple of weeks.

The first batch of these fixes is currently being released upon
the land of Cadu.

We hope to re-open Sa Morgan in the nearest future as well, and
we will post a separate notice when it happens.

Tapakah,
Liege of Khalakhor

I am sure no one will notice since there is figuratively speaking no content in Khalakhor aside from Blademasters.
Which is something that could be addressed too?

Very cool to see these oft-forgotten corners of the world getting some love.

I agree with Raelle. There are a ton of quests there, so it is great to see attention being given to areas that are often visited by newcomers to the Donut.

There are in fact a lot of quests there.
And do them all and you don't even get a fanta.
Counting out Cadu of course which is in fact very newbie friendly quest wise.

Yes, that's why I was so happy when Tapakah returned and volunteered to take over Khalakhor. I hope that in time it will become a more interesting place for players to visit. It's quite beautiful and well-written, so it's always been a shame so few go there (understandbly so, of course).

I am cautiously hopeful.
Honestly the problem with Khalakhor was never the pretty descriptors.
It was the complete lack of actual content mixed with the quite frankly waste of time quests there.
So many hours of work and you end up with wasting your time due to the extremely low reward.
A thought there might be to up the rewards from the quest and perhaps give those who have done it the "bonus" to be claimed from the khalakhor board?
Shouldn't be that complicated to work out how to do.

I've never been involved with Blademasters until now.
If you file a bug at the location with the proper description, it would be easier for me to attend to it.

Would require me to log into gen, wich aint happening, it's an old issue tho and there is bound be be reports about it, one very specific and really annoying to find out syntax.
