For the past week I have made (futile) attempts to install Skyrim mods that make it playable on a PC... It's taking too much of my time already and now you tempt me with this?!

Whatever you pledged for, it should be avaiable in the hangarmodule now. You can walk around in the hangar, entering your ship etc.

I can't decide if I'm upset that I didn't pledge anything for Star Citizen when I had the chance. I struggle with MMO's pretty hard, they get boring so fast. But this game looks like it going to be pretty awesome ... and I played so much Wing Commander when I was a kid.
