Awesome Imbuements

Post by Zestana » 11 Feb 2012 19:58

Hey All.

Thought I'd start this forum topic for us to post cool imbued items we get from time to time. Its not common to see them on a powerful item but it happens more than I'd expect it to. I'll start off with my find today.

Code: Select all

> You get an unusual mithril crescent-moon axe from the corpse of a beautiful
curvaceous kargish female.
> Get what?
> Get what?

> What?
> You feel ready to use Mercenary tactics again!ma
You aren't fighting anyone!
appraise axe
You study the unusual mithril crescent-moon axe carefully.
A crescent-moon mithril axe. The head of the axe is shaped like a crescent
moon, and is honed as sharp as a razor. The long ebony haft affixed to the back
of the head has an engraving of a cobra coiled as if to strike.
It looks like it is in prime condition.
Intense clusters of frost cling to the weapon.

You appraise that the weight is 7200 grams and you guess its volume is about
480 milliliters. You estimate its worth to 2300 cc. It could reject being sold
by keep protecting it.
The axe is made to be wielded in the right hand.
Post if you find something fun or have a memorable imbuement!

One of the first imbued items Zingil found was a strength imbued (faint) excellent halberd which was quite neat. And today he found a rust-red naginata with a spellcraft imbuement which would also be quite useful for a polearm using Ranger.

Gorgun's helm with a death spells resist on it. Clearly some internal fight between Gorgun and Mauhur.

Yes, I noticed this combination, too. It is one of the rarest things that can happen - 3 damage mods on a single weapon. I do not believe it has ever happened before this. It would be interesting to see how the damage specials compensate for the fairly modest quality of the weapon itself.

I actually have a question about the imbues Gorby

If I imbue the snake skin gloves with frost damage or one of the other damage type things... will it actually work? Seems like since its the only weapon for monks it should.

Or if I add it to a ring, I mean if I have a ring on my hand and I hit someone... the ring touches the target in general right?

If it is classified as an armour, it cannot do damage with your own attacks. If it is an armour, it only will damage the attacker if the attacker hits that location when he strikes you. This only works for the "bane" mods.
