Re: Hoarding
I like the idea, Dixel.
The potential issue I see is that it will likely cause a big increase in idle botting. Cherek will have to release a cage full of bot-checkers to ensure people aren't sitting idle with the 'good' gear.
Then again, that would be a good thing, anyway. Less botters will be far more positive, than negative.

Re: Hoarding
One immediate concern is imbuements. If I have spent extremely expensive imbuements to imrove my item, and then suddenly both the item and my stone disappears, that would be boring on the scale of death.
Re: Hoarding
Good point, Jooli. I hadn't considered that.
Re: Hoarding
i didnt know all the ramifications.... i guess that's a valid point.... i though with all the "dropping on logout" thing, people wouldn't get too attached to their items....
if the main problem is hoarders, that hoard weapons that they cant use, why not simply change the racks/chests of that guild, so that type of item cant be stored?

Re: Hoarding
I think the idea was not the oldest weapon. But the least recently used.OgreToyBoy wrote:Hehe that would be a great idea, imagine being in a hard fight and whuuuupsie! your fabled axe of awesome carnage went poof because someone just killed the boss wielding it and making your copy obsolete.
So equipment won't disappear from your hands, but only from racks and private droprooms
I think the idea worths consideration
Re: Hoarding
I have been suggesting this quite a few years ago. Timers on usage on all rare items and any that cross a line (NOT a set time or any other easy-avoidable stuff!) is free to return to the "pop-up-again pool" when it's time comes.
Would need considerations around war-tactics of getting weapons you can't use, only to keep them away from your enemies.

Re: Hoarding
Rare items now have a % chance to appear on each npc spawn starting with this armageddon.
Re: Hoarding
Did this change have anything to do with Loran being MIA?
Re: Hoarding
Yes, it seems someone has decided Loran is rare equipment...Jooli wrote:Did this change have anything to do with Loran being MIA?
I'll fix it.
