What about items that does not spawn on NPC's? Will they have the same percentage?

Yes, it applied to those also.

I think the idea was not the oldest weapon. But the least recently used.

So equipment won't disappear from your hands, but only from racks and private droprooms
I think the idea worths consideration
neither, since the less used could be simply modified by picking up and dropping them back... it IS the oldest, just the oldest NOT being used right now.... (to prevent it from disappearing from your hands) so they cant reset the timer simply by picking/dropping, it's a permanent queue, and unless ur holding it, it will vanish.... (perhaps some exceptions can be doe towards magically enhanced items, since they are clearly being used)

but the timer is not a bad idea either.... some might try to fool it by picking/dropping, but in the end, people forget....
the timer idea might be improved upon though, by changing the relative timer with the time it is wielded/used/worn.....

for EX:
you love to hoard items, you get all the X swords of it's kind but you cant even use them, each sword will have a "being used" timer, the longer it's not used, the longer it ticks back, when it reaches 0, it goes back... if you do use it, the longer you use it, the longer the timer reverts.... (item starts with X hours, if you use it 1 hour, timer is increased 1 hour, with a cap of course, if you dont use it for X hours and is sitting on a rack, X hours are deducted from the timer) so to keep an item from dissapearing, you would have to forcefully use it..... i think this will prevent the "pick up and drop" to reset the timer.....

cheers....

I wouldn't like Calians to use SoH or quickwood, but I can't use them myself ... so what are my choices?

I don't care if you think it's wrong, abuse or whatever. This is a very valid, and very used tactic that should not be diminished.

Why would the Quickwood be wrong for the calians?

Because having Bast and Castaneda with Quickwoods kinda hurts a lot... and Laurel as a BDA wouldn't probably want to be on the receiving end of it.

Nah, lets just all agree. Any guild who go to war will automatically be unable to wear armours or wield weapons of better quality than what a smith can make. That way it'd all be fair, right?

Kenders can use hoopaks. If you don't like that kenders can be members of Calia, it's your perogative to dislike it. Personally, I don't like that BDA can use swords, they should be forced to use knives only. But that's my perogative to dislike. Do I expect a change in the code to alter this? No. Yes, the quickwood hoopak is very good. Yes, a myth kender calian will do a LOT of damage with it. If you want something equal, go RDA, use serrated obsidian halberd, and for Lars' sake, get your agility up to the same level as the kenders, and you'll do equally high damage. If you choose to be a goblin, you only get avarage dexterity, you get much higher constitution and much higher strength... However, you also get to be the race with the lowest intelligence and can't attack much of the big things around it seems.

Yes, SSoUT kenders get _more_ out of a hoopak than a calian, but then again, a Calian get more out of a GSB than a BDA doe as well, thanks to swarm. So with your annoyance of calian kenders using hoopaks, well, lets rectify this, and at the same time give them exclusive right to the best two handed swords. Crystal axe? Sure, now useable by gladiators only (sorry Neidars), silvanesti shield, turtle shells, kite-shield... Shieldbearers only. Runed basket-hilt falchions goes to SU only. Daggers w/o poison goes to SU as well. And the list goes on.

Stop whining about who can use what equipment, you should instead go growel to Cotillion for making the changes he have made, allowing us to be able to, on stroke of luck, to obtain more of the various items we crave, although, never expect to always have them.

FYI - The serrated obsidian halberd and the carved quickwood hoopak are (as I've understood) balanced. Go tell RDA that you want the serrated obsidian halberd removed, because you don't like the calian kenders :D

Why not just make the hard-to-get things sell for more money, so storing them is less practical then selling?
