Storing imbued items.

Post by Mim » 16 Apr 2015 09:39

Hello!

After returning to Genesis I have found I have problems with my imbued items.
Where to store them over night?

It is not really an option to store them in a guild shelf and hope they will be there the next morning.
Is it not possible to change the 'saving' system and let a player keep imbued items?
Like making them always glow, except perhaps over armageddon, or something.

Maybe I am overseeing something important so pls inform me why this can not be done or why this is a bad idea.

Why would imbued items work differently than other equipment? Or are you talking in general?

It is the game design that most things do not stay on the character, a good thing in my opinion.

if you cant use your guild, then the next best is a private stash. risky tho.

Because getting a glittering stone takes forever to get.
And the value of a good glittering stone is tremendous I would guess.

I know, one can transmogrify the stone(s) every time one log out, but that is both tedious and very very expensive thing to do if one logs on a few times a day or even week, so that option is not very good.

It is, or maybe was, a good design.
But it was designed long before imbued items made their way into the game.
The question I wanted to raise is if the design is good today.
My own suggestion was just out of the blue. I am sure more clever people than me has thought about this.
Still it does not feel ok to have items that takes a year to gather and no safe or playable way to store them.

So if I get a good item I toss on a ordinary imbue and it stays with me with for the entire Armageddon?
Sounds like an excellent idea..... :p

The only options except stashes: private guild rooms (i.e. Calian/Ranger council drop room, DA HO racks, KoS conclave rooms, etc.) or logged racks (i.e. Rangers, Necros, Calians, KoS).

But logged racks or using private rooms like council rooms is not that good an idea for storing items that might take a year(?) to get.
Id rather die than having a good stone beeing taken by someone else. Yes, dying might even mean you lose the stones anyway, but losing stones is by far more painful than losing the combat experience.

Imagine having your best stone(s) beeing stolen. Yuk!
There should be a better solution for those extremely valuable stones IMHO.

I doubt this will be changed but..

Only solution I can see to this is a way to remove the self imbued stones at the same quality for a limited period of time. Or making the self imbued items only work on yourself making it useless for other to steal or sell.

I suspect you'll have to live with the risk of loosing it though.
