This is just a quirky one but see this a lot.
ie Yeti breaks my shield and I see.

The collosal arctic yeti sighs as he removes the tower shield from his forearm.
The silvanesti tower shield breaks!!!
Or you kill captain for AMC and you see message the runes on your chainmail dull even tho he is wearing it.
Seems like the equipment thinks it belongs to the killer or the faction that breaks it?

Yes, this is a bug.
These items send messages to the object which caused the execution of an action rather than the wearer.
This works for 'remove' which is issued by the player most of the time, but when other situations force the
wearer to remove an item the message will end up in the wrong place.

Please bug the npc (or room) and send an email to AoB in game. Probably after you kill the yeti though, or you might die in the process.

Happens in a lot of places. When the wraith dies in the path to Dargaard Keep he stops holding 0. And the undeath knight that attacks the neidar guild, when he dies you unwield the mace instead of him.

There are lots of weapons I have placed a bug report on in the past, one of them being Kit's sabre.
It's funny when the sword talks to you about 0 all the time.

EDIT: Ok, after speaking with Cotillion, it turns out the root problem is with the items. It's solvable by fixing the npcs. So please bug the items and not the npcs. It'd be nice to put the description of the whole event so that we can see both the item and the npc in question.
