I have used the anvil to mark many items and one thing I feel would be nice, would be to add either a verbal descriptor and/or sign explaining that there is an anvil in the room. I do not know if that is more trouble than it is worth. But I think it would help Us CupO'Newbles.

Code: Select all

This is the Patrol Guild of Silverdell bunk room. You may choose to <start>
here if you wish to have this be your place of residence from henceforth. It is
also a good place for you to store any equipment that you may choose to want to
keep track of with your fellow guildmates. A large anvil rests against one
wall, which will allow you to <mark> armours or weapons for protection against
rack-thieves.

There is one obvious exit: west.
A tutorial sign (Guild Benefits - Racks), a number of storage shelves, an
armour stand and a large weapon rack.

> exa anvil
The anvil is large enough to allow guild members room to place any piece of
armour or weaponry upon it. A heavy hammer rests nearby which can be used to
<mark> a desired piece of gear with the insignia of the guild. Merchants
throughout the land know better than to trade in items with that mark upon
them, unless they have a deathwish.
These are not visual descriptors enough?

Mmmmmm ... pie ...

Maybe like this:

Code: Select all

The anvil says: Hello. How are you? Do you like movies with anvils in them?
Basic game design. Never gloss over attention to detail.
