Changing characters

Hi.

Apparently this must be done with care, as it is very easy to overwrite aliases or triggers between two characters.

Is there any way to restore them after making this mistake?
Is there another way to avoid it, other than closing the window when relogging to a different character?

More detailed explanation is:

Logged in character 1.
ask julio spin wheel
quit

After a while i logged in with character 2.
I made four new aliases, saved them. Alias file for Character nr.2 was same as character nr 1.
Trigger file was also shown as equal to character 1´s.

I closed the window.

Opened new window, relogged character nr 2.
Trigger file and variables are character nr 2´s.
Alias file is still equal to character nr 1´s with the four added alias.

My advice. Open new window (tab) in the browser for new char. Trigs, aliases an user data are loaded only once when the first char log in an stay in that sesion no mater how many other chars you have opened. Did you notice that when you log in with second char in the same window you dont get messages about trigs/aliases/user data load?
