point 2:
GBM one-handed for a Ranger-shieldbearer dwarf = THE weapon

on the other hand - what do you call "massive str" and "worth hits"? it's not like current "white" hits from weapons make a huge difference ... I've run tests of quite a few swords already and the differences in killing speed are marginal for Laurel

btw. it's hard to slam with a 2-handed weapon wielded ... and hard to wield a 2-handed weapon with a shield ;)

So something has to be changed imo.

Great for nostalgia etc. but change desriptions or something a little bit.

At least the short description.

I was referring to you wanting to change to polearms because of it. Because without massive strength the damage it does isnt worth the amount of misses, your better off with something that doesn't have the accuracy of an ogres swat.

Slam in actually pretty good, and a pike using ranger does not deal out as much damage as a ranger with a GBM and a shield at least from what it would seem to me.

I notice, when soloing, that I do more damage with the GBM and a shield than the GT or EH. Riposte also does more damage with a two-handed weapon from what I have noticed, quite a bit more damage that is. I wouldn't doubt that Laurel and I have similar strength levels either and I know that Laurel will have WAY higher dex than me.
