Amber,

What is the most important change you think needs to be done to the game so you can be proud of it and recommend it to your friends?

Well, firstly the wizards have to deliver what they promise.
Like maybe the complete guild recode.
Then there are of cource many other issues which i wont even bother getting into.

Do something?
I think you got it wrong... Its not about doing something but quite the opposite,
its about talking, writing cool posts, emotional posts, funny comments, teasing, arguing in a circle, playing etc.
People love to read their own posts too!
Asking people here to do something really is like asking actors to literally build their own theatre building.
That could be done by some but they need a plan and motivation.
The engine of this game is running out of fuel, it needs to be filled and kick-started.
But if something were to be done it would have been done long time ago.
Maybe the system was too complex for a major change, noone could really predict what will happen after the change so
it was safe to do nothing. Though it would be interesting to do a simulation, back up the whole system, do some changes
and see what happens after a month or so. There are many interesting gaming systems out there. If I have some free time I play
Mount&Blade cRPG mod, it uses retiring system for stat cap. When you reach 31 level you gain very little xp but you can retire, get your xp erased and
gain +1 generation and a heriloom point. Higher generation means you get your xp a little faster and the heriloom point can be used to enhance your gear or
you can trade it to someone else. And the combat relies more on the skills and the gear than on the grinded xp.

Oh i know quite alot about Mount & Blade.. I play alot of it myself ;)

However this isnt a set world.. Genesis requires maintnance.. It requires updates.. When things are broken it requires fixes.
New things needs to come and balancing needs to happen.

No matter how splendid the people are, recruiting will be nearly impossible instead of unlikely, if the game mechanics isnt there.

1. Anything related to Krynn (that's where I am now, we would adress access to code for wizards in a different topic :))

2. Anything that the players feel it is important and take owneship in :)

Let's start with a list of topics and will see which one generates the most noise.

Thank you for helping !

The game does not need more guilds. We don't have enough people for the ones we have.

Bendis, how do you feel about minotaurs? I believe Mithas is lacking a city.
Or you could figure out how to improve the war-system.

I like the idea of a city for Mithas, thank you, Arcon! I opened a new topic for this discussion:

https://www.genesismud.org/forums/viewt ... f=6&t=1964

I am looking in special for fun features.

Please continue to add suggestions for Krynn, we are grateful for each of them.

Your suggestions would allow us to build a todo list that we could discuss and prioritize.
