I think adding a trigger and alias aspect where you are asked to make a trigger and preforms it
And asked to make an alias and preform it.

Idk how hard that would be but, would benefit people I think, I'm new and I get aliases they work similar to mmo macro

What I have issue with is making a trigger, even after reading the help for it I'm Way confused

According to forums you can color code stuff, this is something id like to do with weapons, directions
And maybe races but I have to clue how to do it

I think it would benefit people who maybe just don't get it.

Thoughts?

Do you feel the information on aliases, triggers and coloring on the webpage are unclear? If so, which parts?

Pretty much the code work

With all the word_stuff_word
(-())

It kinda confusing to me

I read it and my brain is like ................. what?

Sorry if that is a sucky explanation.

Pretty much I just don't get it. I need to he walked through it step by step slowly.

(this is were my ADD and aspergers comes into play when I just don't get something, I have a hard
time explaining why, then get anxiety when I don't understand)

Pretty much would like to learn if at all possible and just suggesting something in game so people like myself are nit bugging people who simply want to kill stuff and do stuff.

This is what id understand better

Trigger dagger knife

Dagger knife color green

I would understand that better then the coding.

(shoulda seen me in school with spread sheets -_-)

In weirdness I understand geometry equations and trig equations.

Sry I suck at explaining

Right. Well I am not sure how to explain it better than what I wrote on the website. That is how it works to create aliases and triggers. Some of them require a little bit of code-like expressions. I am afraid that's just how it is... but aliases and triggers mostly dont require code of any sort. Perhaps someone can help you?

Ok hmmm

How do I color code directions?? Like north south. Mind writing it step by step??

Like step 1 write this

Step 2 write this

Step 3 write this

I think I'm not getting it based how its presented.

Does that help clarify???

that's how it is presented tho? Exactly what to write step by step.

Code: Select all

Click the "Settings" button.

Then hit the "Triggers" tab.

Now click "Add new trigger".

Select trigger type "Regexp".

In the text box for pattern write: obvious (?:exit|exits)

In the script field write: gwc.output.color("green");

Select "Javascript" instead of raw commands.

Click save.

Ok

I write obvious (?exits|exits).

Ok how about

I want the exit north to be blue, how would I write that? Just the exit north.

(?exits|exits) is not the same as (?:exit|exits).

So it wont work. You need to copy the exact text.

I don't know how to color only north exits blue. You can color the word "north" blue, but then all north words will be blue, not only exits. But if that's acceptable, just do:

Code: Select all

In the text box for pattern write: north

In the script field write: gwc.output.color("blue");

I just wanted a basic example nod t saying the help file is bad, its for me, a lot of info to take in

I would suggest using a simple example as well the one you did. It easier to understand, well for me

A quest could be that the exit is hidden and you do a color trigger to find it, that might help each people triggers. I learn best by doing so a simple explanation then do it is how I learn.
