Easter Event

Post by Kitriana » 16 Apr 2017 14:56

Just curious as to why there is no Easter Event this year?
This seemed to be pretty standard every year and I know people always enjoy it.
Not to mention a great avenue for promoting Genesis in reddit and other forums.

I though that a Thanksgiving and Easter event were staples in Genesis... so kind of sad to discover nothing this year.

Draugor is correct. Even re-running an old event does take time and effort. Petros used to run a lot of events, but has not been active for at least half a year. I also ran a few before, but since I became AoD I really haven't had the time either. And the AoE team is pretty much inactive right now as well so... yeah. No events planned right now I fear.

Is it possible to set automatic annual events that manage themselves?
Or is that too idealistic?

Well everything is possible, but it will still require management during the runtime incase something explodes or something.

Well if someone codes automatic events that manage themselves.:) Right now all events require manual handling of various levels depending on how it's coded and what type of event it is. At the very least it needs manual stuff especially at the start and end of the event.
