Rebalanced Grinders, list and ideas for more.
What Grinders have been tweaked?
Help out with some knowledge peeps.
Mini guide type info appreciated.
Here are a few I noticed. Kudos to the wizzies behind this. Dunno who? But breathing new life into things is great to see.
1) Sybarus Dark elves top lvl of Sybarus Caves Close to pool to Terel
These have been changed from pretty small last time I recall to BIG Dark elves, plenty myth sized. A new myth npc Maiva with a quest and now holds obsidian silver tipped spear where a puny elf held it before.
These guys have high stats across the board int wis etc, mmmmmm yum
They have a special atk but it does very little dmg.
They aren't aggressive and don't assist each other.
2)The infamous sybarus ogres. I remember these before as quirky and mainly annoying cus they always ran away.
Well they have had a HUGE buff, like there are lots of ones that are yeti sized and u will need epicish dis to attack!
Big numbers, very aggressive, unique combat tactics. Dont think they run away now?
Really cool grinder, and u should/could be getting bonus exp cus it is one of the most challenging to manage.
3)Drakmere, minor changes on the surface that Gilbert plus team of knights no longer come and atk u for killing the guards, he is now always in residence in the same spot. Qualifies as a rebalance since him arriving and then running away was an annoyance before. But think when this change was made the exp for the guards was adjusted upwards.

Middle Earth
A lot of it now is behind player inflation?
Maybe tweaking a few numbers could make a lot of it more popular.
The sarnford gobbos insanely popular, how about camp north of bree get more like them?
Its a step up in difficulty but not really in reward.
Or with the large amount of orc camps near by could be a stepping stone system.
If grab wasnt as annoying as it is.
Edoras and elfhelm's guards used to be fun and had the first scaling to player size npcs?
The guards r really puny now and without elfhelm calling more not many of them.
Minas Tirith gates is exciting but the buffed arrow dmg makes the fun short lived.
Fangorn, errmm yeah, it is certainly not behind player inflation, players only catching up to the buffs.
Isengaard really cool area, all ingredients there for a great grinder with a few tweaks.
Haradrim the one camp is excellent rest, of which there are loads, are puny?
Gobbo caves is okish.
Trollshaws got nerfed in exp, could be great again. For whatever size needs it.
Maybe like a neutral neraka trolls/haradrim level? Mention those cus they r two great ones but protected.
Ranger camp is ok but they annoying to grind, cool they r there
Sounds like there r plans for Moira. =)
Moira being a top grinder on the lvl of ghastly keep would be cool.
I dont know how it fits in timeline but having dwarves in there holed up vs the evuls would be cool. Where are all the stunties in Middle Earth anyway? Rockfriends and Khazz and?
Fort Anorien a really cool addition, but its balance vs competition, like knights circle in Flotsam, could benefit from a few tweaks maybe. They r really beefy take much longer to kill than most that r same mortal lvl. And that they can see in dark really hurts its attractiveness. Wish they were more like those knights.
Thornlin not much there.
Tharbad is that the area in Southern Ithilien or is it harlond? I mean the one, with corsairs, black orcs and trolls?
They fight so dirty would b very scary if they were big lol
Angmar guild, coolest grinder for badass goodies? Since it has unlimited enemies?
Shire hobbit areas okay, since hobbits r weaklings =p
The barrow downs r probably at the lvl players want?
Newbie area south of pelagir could be easier to find.
A big shout out to middle earths ships, many of which have npcs u can kill.
If players could only pick one to get some love would probably be trollshaws?

Regarding Middle Earth:
Sadly Isengard is a death trap. The other Haradrim camp is great.
I always felt what is lacking is ares for evil players to grind. Anorien is a good addition though. Helm's Deep would definetly be a good place to infest with more and better troops.

I agree.
There is actually alot lacking here on high end grinds.
Evils have qualinesti.
Goodies have.. everything else.
Not that evils don't grind the rest but.
The views posted by me on this forum is not the views of the character Amberlee in-game.

Maybe we grind the rest BECAUSE we don't have many other options. Personally I like to hit the Fort near MM as well.

Because grinding as evil vs grinding as goodie is piece of cake.Avatar wrote:LOL?Kvator wrote:LOLJooli wrote: I always felt what is lacking is ares for evil players to grind.

Terel trolls / mithas trolls / faerun / sybarus stuff is pretty much neutral even if they shouldn't be (and getting back to evil is A LOT quicker than getting back to GOOD).
Additionally there is huge advantage for solo evils at certain point (rising hero -> legend) where you can super quickly and safely progress (centaurs, kalaman, kendermore then add neraka at champ/legend). Of course there are haradrims as kind of equivalent - but they're protected by the most unbalanced (in terms of pvp) guild on genesis - evil of course.
Then of course there is quali and ENTS (give me equivalent for goodies...)
