A slight change in vanquishers rankings

How about calculating the nominal combat XP there, instead of XP after applying brutality? Right now it's only an indicator that the player on top is on recovery.

You have a point there. Not sure if it's doable and how complex it is, but I can always ask Mercade, who wrote the current code for the rankings.
