Personally I think that any solution might be good as long as it won't allow for abuse.

While wanting to get various herb effects going by ingesting different kinds of herbs is hard with the current cooldown (maybe we should just extend the duration on beneficial herb effects that go beyond instant health/mana/fatigue restoration) I really wouldn't like us to go back to the days of experts soloing Yeti by consuming absurd amounts of herbs.

Maybe a new special attack, herb consumption, could be coded. The target would be the choice of herb to use, maybe even another person in the future. Being a special attack it can have a cooldown (move the time slider to the right, now it's balanced!) and even a nice message for re-use etc :)

However, that would probably make Gardeners too good, plus guilds that help fight damage, illness, mental and physical fatigue will be gimped as well. :(
