More Auction House Suggestions

For many the auction house is a firm favourite of the new additions to the game.
Here are some ideas that were kicking around the previous forum for potential to make something good even better.

Currently whenever anyone sells a magic item in a shop, the shopkeeper puts it away and no one can buy it back from them.
How about all magic items sold in shops are taken by gnomes and then automatically put on for auction?
A few hours long max price a couple of times the CC value. No-one buys it then it disappears.
Sells and the shopkeeper is happy, everyones a winner!
This would surely make the auction house very busy with what someone considers not so fantastic magic items but busy is better isn't it? And one man's rubbish is another man's treasure...

Be able to buy and sell quantities of herbs via auction
10 skunk berries in one go for example.
Think they would be popular sellers
would be interesting to see what market price settled at.

Might be nice to be able to see your auction history for the last 10 items or so at least.
If you have had a lot of things on and come back later its hard to know what sold and for mow much.

Also I was recently thinking about the idea of "Auction Credits" perhaps you get 1 point for every item you sell.
Then the system could throw in some items that can only be bid for using auction points.
This is to encourage/reward players who auction stuff.
The items could be unique ones only available from the auction house.
eg
A vibrating rucksack, "The Bag of Ultimate holding" (Something that reduces packed item weight to zero and is very hard to fill) Lasts one arma doesn't save.

Scroll of Fireball
It might be open to abuse if I say put 20 plastic falchions (or the same falchion 20 times) on for 1 plat and get a friend to buy them, 20 points.
Perhaps should limit it to 1 point per auction per unique customer per day.

Great ideas, Tarax. If they were all as easy to implement as the Max price, I'd do them right away Keep them coming though, the more ideas you put here, the more wizards have to work with when they finish their current projects. The auction house is one of those things that if players continue to use extensively, we will definitely improve as it is right along the lines of the changes in economy that we are looking for.

Would it be terribly inconvenient to be able to gather all the items you win with one visit to the AH? I hate re-entering several times. Makes me loose confidence in the AH management to service thier guests appropriately.

I see that people are starting to dip their toe in the selling of herbs on the AH.
So far it is not really practical as selling an individual herb the fees which are rounded up to the nearest plat end up eating the profits.

1 herb has to sell for 2 plats minimum for the seller to get anything.
1 plat goes to fees, 1 plat to seller. If sells for 1 plat that all goes to fees.
50% fees not practical and higher prices per herb are very steep.

I guess someone could buy a qarraba and label it as 100 skunk qarraba.
And try selling that.
Would need to be someone trustworthy and not selling empty qarraba's.
qlist would not be available, so maybe a jar you can see into would be better.

But if over X amount appears as many hard to be sure what your getting.
Would be ideal is someone in sparkle could start selling herb safe glass jars which list the exact qty for this purpose.

(Hope that doesn't put out of business, or stop face to face sales with the enterprising Player Character herb dealers we have in the Realms.)


Another thing I think would be a useful feature for the auction house is a wanted list.
So say I offer 50 / 75 for a prime condition silvanesti tower shield.
First price non saving / second saving.
And the number of hrs ago the wanted was placed.
