Legendary weapons/armours specific for occupational guilds

Post by Enkil » 12 Feb 2012 19:21

Hello,

I know there might be few wizards and all are very busy but I wanted to
share this idea.

Imagine that every guild has one guild specific weapon and one guild
specific piece of armour. They can never break, and are better than
other weapons/armours, but they have severe limits. They can only
be used by the guild it is created for. There can only be one per
armageddon too, so they would be extremely rare.

The drop itself would be very much random, kind of like the imbuements.
This means, that killing a karg in Gont, and he might drop the
Plate armour of the Witchking of Angmar.

Or killing a kender and he might drop Huma's Footmans Lance, wieldable
only by Solamnian Knights. In this scenario of course few Knights do
hunt in Kendermore, so probably it was an evil person finding this
drop, will he then stash it in his or hers guild and have a laugh everytime
he sees it, because no knight will have it this armageddon or will he
AH it?

I think you all get the picture.

I can imagine people from neutral guilds getting really rich.

All guilds can sell them by using an anonymous auction. Prices might be high but it also depends on the activity of the guild the item belongs too and how many days to next armageddon. As mentioned the droprate would be so low that I wouldn't sit outside Rommiks tent waiting for my item.

Make it so they only drop on NPC:s that are natural enemies of the respective guilds.

Also make them only drop when the NPC is killed by a member of that guild.

That is a good thought, that way it would also encourage each guild to
follow roleplay and attack their natural enemies.

But kind of boring for Mercenaries and gladiators perhaps?

I like idea, but why to limit only it by occupational guilds?

Staff or boots for travellers
Hammer for smiths
Sailor cap for mariners
Cloak for Valars
etc.

I kinda agree..
Why limit it to occupational guilds?
Why not instead of occupational guild limit, instead limit it to racial guilds?
The views posted by me on this forum is not the views of the character Amberlee in-game.
If you ask for my opinion here, you will get MY opinion, not that of my character.

Why not make them imbuements? Instead of having the "unusual, peculiar, exotic" tags they have more guild themed tags?
