Tenth All Hallows Eve Scavenger Hunt

Rules for the Tenth Genesis All Hallows Eve Scavenger Hunt!

The  scavenger  hunt  lasts  TWO weeks  (14  days),  starting 21:00  on
Saturday 26 October,  ending 21:00  on Saturday 8 November.  Items that
are submitted outside this time slot will not count toward the hunt.

The objective is to collect as many different items  from the scavenger
hunt list as you can find. Not all items can be reached by each person.
Trading is  permitted.  Note that several items were  newly created and
brought into the  world solely for the  scavenger hunt.  Exploring thus
may pay off.  The list will be revealed when the scavenger hunt starts.
It can be listed at the pumpkins in the common board rooms.

Scavengers may work individually AND in teams. Teams are to register at
the pumpkins  in the common board  rooms.  This may be done at any time
during the hunt. To form a group, the group leader has to go to  one of
the pumpkins  near the common boards,  and do  "group invite <person>".
The invited person(s) can  then accept this invitation with "group join
<groupname>". Please note that when you have joined a group, it is  not
possible to leave a group again to switch to another group. The maximum
group size is 4 people.

Groups will be rewarded for the most items on average  per group member
and for finding the highest no. of different items amongst the members.
Items count  toward  the team total, as well as toward the individual's
total.  So you can be in a  team and in the  individual contest  at the
same time.

Per  person, only one of each item will count. Submitting more than one
specimen will not increase any score. There will be a special bonus for
every 25 items you find!

Items must be  brought to the pumpkin receptacles at the common boards,
so that items turned in are credited to the proper team and individual.
The pumpkins are not trash cans, so do not  indiscriminately dump items
that do  not match the description.  A person who overflows the pumpkin
will be penalized.

The individual contestants will be rated according to their size. There
will be prizes for  several categories of mortal sizes. There will also
be a reward for unique  items  (items only  found by  one  individual).

The  costume shop in the  Mvsevm of Events  will be  open for  business
while the scavenger hunt lasts. Don't forget to dress up!

For your convenience:
  "help scavenger_event" will give this text at any time.
  "help scavenger_list" will give you the list of items.

DISCLAIMER:

On a donut as large as Genesis, it may occasionally happen that an item
is not  accepted  even though  upon casual  inspection it looks exactly
like the description on the list.  The AoE office is quite certain that
the list does not contain typos, so if this happens it means that there
is another item with exactly the same name elsewhere in the realms. The
AoE team may - at its own discretion - decide to accept such items upon
inspection. However, pay close attention to the descriptions.  There is
a difference between a grAy mouse and a grEy one.

heavy stone wheel -130 kilograms and you guess its volume is about 46
liters. You estimate its worth to 1 cc.

Was that intentional? Some smaller guys may have problems lifting one.

Not intentional, items are picked randomly from a long list of items. Doing an intensive check on weight, reachability etc was unfeasable in the timeframe in which we had to organise this hunt.

So some items might not even be obtainable at all? Or not even exist any longer in the game? You probably know if there are a few items that haven been turned in by ANYONE by now? So maybe you can manually check those? (probably not many, if any), and see if they are possible to get? And if not replace them or remove them?

It's no fun if we spend tons of time on something, and then find out it was never possible to find it. Hitting your head against a wall might be funnier!:)

It seems a few items come from quests that can not be redone.
Time to create new characters which would give the items to the old ones.

Can't you be a little more creative than resort to cheating?:) But I guess this is how some will solve it, but I think its more fun to actually interact with other people who havent done the quests and deal/bribe them into doing it for you. Nothing brings interaction to the game like events do. So lets cherish those few moments of real interaction we have instead of resorting to using seconds, thirds and fourths... is what I think anyway!

What about the situation when there's an item that is accessible to only one guild?

What about the situation when important objects required to obtain an item simply stopped to appear?
