I *love* this!
I absolutely love ED, myself. I did my first 10 years of coding as a wizard in Genesis using ED exclusively. I didn't even realize what FTP was or ever use it. Every bit of code was done live in my Genesis session with Gorboth the wizard using ED. As a result, ED is actually my native coding environment - the place I'm most comfortable and at home.
It is actually quite powerful and excellent if you know all the commends. Of course it isn't friendly if you don't know how to use it. But if you do? It hugs you like a mother.
