Braggin' Balrog ... again ...

Ach!!

It's been a while since this has annoyed me, but here we go again.

I was out in the alley behind the wizard lounge with Armageddon,
Postmaster, and Death - you know, the usual crew. We were debating
the merits of various "relaxation" options. I prefer the standard top-
shelf Martini or Manhattan, while Postmaster insists that new-world rules
that allow various forms of ... um ... THC variants (brownies are his
favorites) are the best. Well, I just can't get behind Postie's style,
I guess I'm too old-school ... but then we heard some crashing down
the alley.

Going to investigate, what did we see? There was the Balrog! Drunker than
any of us. First he looked at me:

"Your thirteen Manhattans? Weak!! I laugh at them!"

He then looked at Postmaster:

"Brownies. Really. Can I just say, I am embarrassed for you?"

Finally, turning to Death, he taunted:

"Um. Vaping? YOU??!?"

He then proceeded to roll on the floor with laughter. Non-plussed, we
approached the over-jovial spawn of Melkor, intent on teaching him a few
things about respct. Before we could lay hands on him, he offered us his
middle finger (claw) and ran off. What we all commented on, later, was
the EXOTIC mithril ring we noticed on his offensive digit. Yes, this was
clearly an item of POWER.

Well, we were too far into the evening to bother further with it, but we
suggest that you, the esteemed mortal populace, might wish to pay him a
visit. Clearly, this is an uncommon opportunity. He's got one of those
crazy imbuements of true power again, and we would like nothing better
than for him to learn a bit of a lesson.

Consider this an extension of the scavenger hunt. But, we imagine, this
particular prize (the exotic mithril ring) will NOT want to be thrown
into any pumpkin.

Cheers,
G.

There we go, putting an item on the list that only one side actually has a snowballs chance in hell of getting when you consider the tanking, damage and healing needed :P

Maybe this one calls for a coalition of strange bedfellows. The Balrog laughs at your excuses.

tanking: AA
damage: BDA/RDA
healing: PoT

yup, evils cover it all (not to mention lots of evil monks these days, and possibility to use glads, SU)

Mayhaps one should gather a team of equally curious/greedy individuals and pry that ring from the Balrogs cold finger.

AA arent even close to good enough, and thats not even comparing to neidar :P And yes monks could work provided you get someone thats so large it wont need healing :P
BDA is good damage. RDA... no
PoT are close to useless due to their power severely dropping outside of certain areas :P

yes PoTs are super useless, but actually their heal is ok (worse than scop ofc)
RDA is good damage, just they lack super fitting layman guild (like BM for BDA)...stil RDA/Minotaur with SoH should work ok

ohh and evils have MM's :D - just break barlog's weapons and u re g2g :D

yes - I am aware that goodies are more specialized (except for knights who are like definition of being 'medicore in everything' lol) and works in teams better....but hey it's not like baddies can't group and do it at all*

* and complaining about balance from baddies pov is quite strange considering the fact that majority of powerplayers are in evil guilds (even if they are inactive atm) :)

If I am not mistaken the last team to kill the Balrog was a team of well-knowns evils in evil guilds.
