In all writings I have found about the Amazons of the Silent Forest, their
identity is based around being female, and I never noticed the word "human".
Perhaps they came from a human tribe at some point in the distant past, but I
could not find any mention of it, and Calia itself is home to many races. Given
that the Amazons are few enough that Sister Ophelia is willing to trust
anyanyone, perhaps they would open their arms to females of other races?
Recent times have been turbulent, and Caliana herself demonstrated what a
non-human can achieve.
Greater tolerance among the Amazons would open up a new option to the female
members of races that must otherwise choose between a single dedicated guild or
the loose affiliation of Krynn. It would not solve the problem for the majority
of dwarves and gnomes, but the change I am suggesting seems simple and
consistent with the established history.
Of course, I may be missing pieces - regardless, I appreciate your work,
especially the recent mapping of the Calian wilderness.
