Death and Layman guilds

Post by Luma » 01 Jan 2018 11:11

Greetings all!

Like most, I have died many times around the donut, too many to count at this point. After most of these deaths, I find myself no longer a member of my layman guild. I always simply report the bug, and either rejoin the guild or quit and then automatically become a member again. This has happened on many occasions with three different guilds and only seems to happen to my layman guild. I have reported the bug to the wizards in charge of the various guilds, and everything is addressed and solved very quickly. Regardless of the cause, this seems to be a global trend and I wanted to make the populace aware of this. (Or maybe these are isolated cases that only happen to me)

Best wishes and safe travels!

I've never changed races to be anything different, and my alignment remained very high (saintly).

A few weeks ago I learned that this happened to another player several times too. First with their race guild two times, and on the third death the race guild stuck, but their layman was lost instead. I figured it was an isolated incident related to that player only, and did a manual workaround to solve the problem with their last death.

But clearly it wasn't an isolated incident. Hmm. Perhaps you can <mail aop> with some details about which guilds and when this happened? Probably good for Mirandus to know more about this when he returns from his vacation, since it sounds like it might continue to happen until we figure out what is causing it.
