Code: Select all
Hello,
Me and Mirandus have been discussing a couple of rule changes / additions
lately, and we've now decided to implement them.
Please see <help rules> to familiarize yourself with the changes. Not
knowing about a rule is not an excuse if you happen to break it, and it's
your responsibility as a player to know the rules.
These are the additions/changes:
1. From now on, players who purposely attempt to harm the game server
by spamming commands or exploiting game design flaws are not welcome
in Genesis. If you purposely try to crash the game, cause severe LAG,
or anything else harmful, you will most likely find your character(s)
deleted very quickly.
2. Exploiting obvious bugs to your own benefit will from now now on also
be a punishable violation. Previously, the rules only mentioned that you
may get any advantages removed, but we feel this is no longer enough.
Punishments will vary depending on the severity of the exploit, and range
from removal of benefits to deletion. If you are unsure if something is a
bug or not, just <mail aop> and ask, but most people who exploit a bug
tend to know what they are doing... so, stop it!
3. Genesis will always be free to play, and you should never be able to buy
benefits in the game using real-life currency. Therefore, from now on we
will not allow players to trade ANYTHING related to the game in exchange
for any form of real-life currency, goods, or favor.
Note that these rules will apply from today. We will not punish players
retroactively.
