Re: Hiding titles
I never liked the Black Speech titles for the Society either. Not only are they just gibberish to 99% of the people but also some clients used to connect to the game do not display the special characters and accents present in them, which makes them look a bit stupid or buggy.
Time is precious. Waste it wisely.

Morguls are a rogue guild?Arman wrote: ↑26 Jun 2021 13:10The same argument can be made to allow for players to make up their own titles.
Genesis is a descriptive game... guild titles are a feature of that. And it is a feature I like and strongly support.
I am not going to support options allowing the turning off of guild titles except in the case of rogue classes... where incognito is a class feature.

Hi Everyone! Glad to see the shitstorm raging on

Re: Hiding titles
So how about them hiding titles?
11 people want it, 18 people don't. I'd like to hear more from the nay-sayers before I succumb to the tyranny of the frightened majority.

Re: Hiding titles
Probably also worth rereading the last thread about this. Some good points made about the nonsensical omniscience of the who list regarding titles. Otherwise, seems like much the same points have been made and remade
I think my favorite incarnation of title-hiding is one where <who> only remembers the last introduced title, everyone gets to choose the their introduced titles from the ones available to them, but their associations also have a "tell" of some sort in their description when examined. The "scent of herbs" or whatever it is for gardeners, obvious magey-ness, air of military discipline, etc.
