Esteemed fellow Genesis Enthusiasts!!
Advent is one of my absolute favorite times of the year, and so it has
been my great pleasure to see so much dashing about, throwing clothes
on and off, mad kissings, and frantic openings of doors. Am I describing
some kind of back-alley Cadu brothel?? By no means! This was the behavior
of a wonderful portion of the populace as they travelled hither and yon
to captivate some of our most famous bosses with their style and their
holiday mistletoe.
Just how many of you participated? Well, there are a good many who paid
a visit to the Holiday Gift Superstore - 180 players, in fact, walked in
and were given an Advent Calendar by our friend Agnus. Just how many of
them went on and participated in the event from there? EXACTLY half!
Ninety players actually went and got at least one kiss from one of their
assigned bosses. Oh, the kender couple were so happy to receive all of
that business, and Linee in particular told me just how many of you
decided to sample her side of the store. Fascinating! :-)
Now, as you may have noticed, the Amazons were very interested in helping
protect their business interests, and assisted many of you as time went
on in gaining your kisses. At first, there were a few issues with this
or that boss feeling a bit hostile, or other people wanting to get in and
mix up the romance with a bit of combat. No, sir! Those Amazons have ways
and some of you figured out how to put a stop to it. Nice going.
There was some mumbling and moaning about whether this event was easy to
scam, since all you needed to do was figure out which bosses were left
and then set up the teleports and WIN WIN WIN. Well, right, that would
have been possible if there were 25 bosses for exactly 25 days. C'mon,
dude. Would I do that? Pfff. There were almost twice as many bosses as
days! So, at any given time, even toward the end of the event, you would
have 20+ possible bosses you might open those doors and see. I ain't into
no easy-squeezies!

Where was I ... oh ... !
As anyone of you who has ever tried to be an Ogre would know, I am a great
lover of ... numbers ... in the things I set up here in Genesis. And for
this reason, I'd like to go ahead and look at some of the fun statistics
from this event. I had absolutely no idea which bosses would be the
easiest to find, and which would take more time. So, which were they? Well,
let's find out!

Heh ... well, no surprise there that Rommik, just down the street from the
Village Green, would be easy to find quickly. The standard deviation
indicates that he was actually *significantly* easier to score well with
than his fellow bosses. All those bosses above the 15:00 mark are
interesting to think about. Many were not so much hard to locate, but
impacted by luck of whether or not there was some disruption of their
appearance in play.
Dashing around on average for a quarter of an hour, desperate for a kiss.
Wow ... that's just ... that's just not how life should be, is it? Man.
Okay, let's talk about something better. Like ... quicker-kissers!
And just who got the fastest kiss from each of these bosses? Well now,
that's a good question! And ... now we need to get to talking about some
of the winners of this event, and the fun prizes they will have earned.

I guess we'd better just average all the kissing times everone got and
see who had the best overall average, right? Oh, and yes, I did finally
remember to grant everyone two days of grace in the case that your times
for a given boss sucked a rusty pipe. Yeah, I threw the two of all y'alls
worst scores into Shelob's Lair. She's not happy.
