Feedback on changes

Greetings,

Since I'm not present on channels where this is discussed, I wanted to offer
some feedback on the recent changes in an old school manner:

Overall, I think it was a good idea. Combat has slowed down significantly, but
that's alright because now there's less competition for areas since everyone
needs more time to complete each one. It means more people can coexist in an
area without it being a sprint. Damage dealt as well as received is lower, as
well as healing, but it means also that there are fewer damage spikes so more
time to heal even if healing spells are less impactful. It makes some fights
more challenging and significant, and it achieves the purpose of slowing down
growth on the high end while making the world feel bigger.

Hopefully we mortals will have more space to coexist now without stepping on
each others' toes, and perhaps even find it better to make friends in order to
team instead of going off by ourselves.

I think the only 'downside' I can find is that I'm personally now more
concerned about dying because of how long it'd take to recover, unless the
experience gained whilst on recovery has been tweaked to be a bit more. Perhaps
the experience loss impact of death could be reduced or the amount of
experience gained while on recovery could be increased so as to make death less
frightening? That could be something positive as well and accomplish another
bullet point in the game's list for a while, namely making pvp possible without
driving players experiencing death away.

Combine these and we'd have a slower, steady pace of growth, more team work,
challenging content, more meaningful encounters, and even inspiring roleplay as
well if death were to be seen merely as an 'annoying' work of 1-2 weeks instead
of a long re-grind of months. Also, the ceiling feeling 'soft capped' would
make players consider death as something to jump back from in 1-2 weeks and
reengage in interactions without feeling they're losing time they could rather
invest in further growth.

All in all, I think it is good and I wanted to express my gratitude for your
hard work. I can only imagine how difficult a change of this scale must have
been.

Thanks,
Dhez's player.
You see a mousetrap. I see free cheese and a challenge.
