This year's edition of Qualinesti Scribe
Award was devoted to the 'Elven Heroine' ...
and the response from the many scribes
of the realms was truly surprising!
The Library had had a look at as many
scrolls as the leaves in Qualinesti, and
decided to choose, alas, only two
manuscripts, which represent the
avantgarde of elven literature.
These are they:
I. Karkadelt's Journal, Sparkle
* For the inspiring theme of the elven
mistress ~ an example and a rolemodel for
the young elves.
II. Lay of Tinuviel, Gondor/Shire
* For the creative symbolism that casts
light upon those who despair in darkness.
Thank thee very much for attention
and activity, that accompanied the
awards, we hope the next year will bring
new challenges and new literary
champions of the Forest.
