| | As it is done since the first sprinkle appeared on the Donut, | |
| | we, known collectively as Genesisians, take pen to page in | |
| | January to self-reflect and try to remember what | |
| | happened the year before and also gaze into the void to try to | |
| | figure out what will happen in 2025. | |
| | | |
| | Due to budget issues, the Shadow Monks lacked the money to | |
| | actually do the research to find out the exact numbers and the | |
| | creative department could not create detailed graphs and as you | |
| | know my own drawing skills have deteriorated ever since I | |
| | developed claws, but nonetheless the following is my best | |
| | attempt at record keeping. | |

| | Incredibly and definitely absolutely honestly, the Mean Yearly | |
| | Average Player Per Hour has nearly doubled in one whole year. | |
| | Without the grand Turkeysaurus and Gorboth's Army of Idlers armed | |
| | with Wild Fighting Turkeys, the average really didn't fluctuate | |
| | too much per month. As you can see during the holidays and | |
| | summer break the numbers, as expected, went up, likely due to | |
| | Muzan and Qwer not having to attend classes and what not. | |
| | However, if we look closer, besides the fact that October came | |
| | after November this year, you will notice we had some intense | |
| | activity during certain random hours mainly in November. Almost | |
| | as if there was some kind of secret events happening below the | |
| | surface. | |
| | | |
| | ================================================================  | |
| | New players created / players leaving the tutorial | |
| | (Based on Recent Events) | |
| | ================================================================  | |
| | | |
| | Last year the numbers were as follows: | |
| | | |
| | 4192 New Players were created which is an average of 11.5 per day | |
| | and roughly 11.3% left the tutorial. | |
| | | |
| | This year based on rough estimates: | |
| | | |
| | 5342 New Players were created which is an average of 14.6 per day | |
| | and roughly 20.7% left the tutorial. | |
| | | |
| | Now once again we see the numbers nearly double in terms of | |
| | people exiting the tutorial. One might attribute this to | |
| | either the increase of helpful newbie helpers, the average IQ of | |
| | the population going up, or someone repeatedly making alternative | |
| | characters. We'll never know! | |
| | | |

| | NOTE: Technically Mages had the highest growth as they went up | |
| | nearly infinitely, however that in of itself is a huge | |
| | achievement, so the Priests get the special award for biggest | |
| | growth. | |
| | | |
| | Due to the efforts of the Dragon Army Generals, war is booming, | |
| | the plains are set ablaze, and chances are every third person | |
| | you meet is a member of the Dragon Army. While their opposition | |
| | on the battlefield has grown as well, the difference is | |
| | staggering. | |
| | | |
| | But rest assured, not all of the Donut desires to become a force | |
| | of might. Clerics have also started to proselytize in mass | |
| | quantities, I hear it may even be possible to see a | |
| | representative of each of the Five roaming together as one unit. | |
| | | |
| | Vampires are steadily dropping in number, and if you recall from | |
| | last year's State of the Donut, this was expected once more since | |
| | another round of measures were implemented to limit their | |
| | population. Despite this I suspect players will once again take | |
| | up the dark mantle and we will see a resurgence soon as the | |
| | Masters of Ramudor continue to plot schemes of political | |
| | intrigue. | |
| | | |
| | To the Captain of the Angmar, I wish you good luck. | |
| | | |

| | Individual activities of players are generally not considered the | |
| | focal point of these reflections, instead focusing on a broad | |
| | overview of notable events that happened as result of the entire | |

| | enough to warrant recognition: | |
| | | |
| | The slaying Balrog, the most deadliest foe in the Donut, more | |
| | times in 2024 thn in all previous years combined. | |
| | | |
| | This achievement began with the first killing blow by Osprey in a | |
| | hodgepodge group of roughly twelve players from various Guilds on | |
| | September 2, 2024, with solely the desire for adventure in their | |
| | hearts. | |

| | With recent changes to Balrog to give more rewards including the | |
| | Flaming Black Broadsword, and perhaps due to the average stat | |
| | increase of our Myth players, our strongest swordsmen have been | |
| | hunting Balrogs down to near extinction in their quest for | |
| | the shiniest of items. | |

| | Oh yes, there has been so many changes to the fabric of our | |

| | I may have only been wandering the realms for two years but | |
| | even I can tell, based on my sore fingers, that this has been an | |
| | unprecedented amount of new and novel additions to the Donut. | |
| | | |

| | ================================================================  | |
| | | |
| | Of one of the *few* quirks that I have, carrying dice that | |
| | help me peer into the future and assist in guiding others has | |
| | been a staple of my trade for quite some time. The Keeper | |
| | of Genesis often likes to end the reflection with a prediction | |
| | or two and his practices are worthy of emulation! | |
| | | |
| | The five nifty dice revealed themselves as follows: | |
| | A Tree, a Crown, a Coin, a Tree, and a Crown. | |
| | | |
| | The Crowns represent authorities, when there are two it generally | |
| | represents conflict. Trees represent foundations, the home, | |
| | in this case the core strength of the Crowns. And the coin? | |
| | I will give you two guesses! | |
| | | |
| | A Coin betwixt two Crowns on opposing Trees is usually the | |
| | premise for a battle of opposing sides for the sake of wealth or | |
| | power. | |
| | | |
| | Thus I predict that "Good" versus "Evil" shall battle it out over | |
| | the sake of a, my, Dragon Hoard! The Dragon "Experience" shall be | |
| | officially released by next Christmas! Definitely! | |
| | | |
| | Oh and I suppose at this time I should see how accurate the | |
| | Keeper was. Let's see who will have the higher prediction | |
| | accuracy! | |
| | | |
| | 1. Recovering from death will go quicker (TRUE) | |
| | 2. It will once again be possible to prevent other players from | |
| | leaving a room, but the abilities will be more balanced (TRUE) | |
| | 3. The balance between layman caster and malee guilds will be | |
| | better. (Technically he wrote malee, malee is a type of fruit | |
| | juice and Vallaki has more juices for players so, TRUE) | |
| | 4. It will become easier for smaller players to grow. (With the | |
| | addition of key quest items from 2024, TRUE) | |
| | 5. I'll have another go at the prediction that at least | |
| | two new clubs will open during 2024. (I think Vitwitch soloed | |
| | that prediction, TRUE) | |
| | 6. We will get more new players during 2024 compared to 2023. | |
| | (Based on my rough and hopeful estimates, TRUE) | |
| | 7. The average number of players will be higher in 2024 compared | |
| | to 2023. (Based on the same rationale as #6, TRUE) | |
| | 8. People will in general be nicer to each other in-game, on | |
| | forums and on Discord. Yes, this one is very bold. I dare you | |
| | all to help make this prediction come true. (This prediction | |
| | is a hard one to calculate. I assume Cherek meant to math it | |
| | by quality rather than sheer quantity of positive actions vs | |
| | negative actions. Which means bonus points if someone was | |
| | really nice! 2024 was a very heated for the many people but | |
| | I believe that Genesis is far more than old grudges! And I | |
| | think anyone that managed to read this far down is really | |
| | nice so, TRUE) | |
| | | |
| | Wow Cherek Keeper of Genesis, henceforth known as Keeper of the | |
| | Answers of the Future. He finally achieved a 100% perfect | |
| | prediction rate! | |
