Tricksters

Post by Windemere » 05 Sep 2010 20:04

Alright,

Let's make the tricksters a craft option. I mean they don't offer a whole lot outside of being fun, and I seriously doubt there are ANY tricksters left, so the guild is just sitting there.

I'd totally be one if it were craft!

I agree with Windemere!

At least if someone attacked you for being a Trickster it'd be because you earned it! :D

Suggested it some time ago, but they would lose one of their useful things, plus combat skills (there used to be mages member of them because of their parry skill).

parry from tricksters is crap (compared to lay AA for example)
they have no shinkick anymore (for ages) and the only cool thigs they give are surely worth a craft spot only

Exactly,

There really is nothing useful. Combat skills are not epic, they can be found in many other layman guilds (plus same could have been said for Smiths which had many MM members for the Sword skill)

Besides, craft guilds do offer some skills in relation to the craft. Sneak/Hide would still be there because they are necessary. Only thing they would have to lose would be that disguise thing which never really worked anyways and Vent which could stay but would have to be monitored more closely.

In anycase, they should be revitalized or made a craft guild.

This is from someone's tournament log:

Code: Select all

Okay, what do you want to say through Lotan?
Lotan says: Eat me, Stern!
You think others might have caught on to you though.
You desperately try to look as innocent as you possibly can, in hopes that it
will fool all onlookers into believing that you aren't responsible for what
happened.
Lotan shouts: Get off the ropes Laz!
Stern hisses: OK!
Stern closes his eye and gradually dissolves into thin air.
Lotan disappears in a puff of smoke.
Wyork throws his head back and cackles with glee!
You feign a look of innocence.
funny :)

My counter-suggestion is improving the Tricksters to make them better. Give them some more useful tricks or abilities. It's a totally cool concept for a layman guild.
