Every minute I can spare has gone to working on code or with Lavellan (who has done *so* much for the infrastructure of this project!), and we are really close now.
Some updates ...
The imbuements themselves: 100% complete
The infrastructure for global implementation: 99.9% complete
The accompanying quests: 100% complete
The Newbie Dungeon: 100% complete
The crafting economy: 100% complete
Documentation: 90% complete
Balance Testing: 50% complete
Petros has given clearance for the Imbuements to go live in the game whenever we feel they are ready in the form of a "beta-release". A full and comprehensive testing and approval of the entire imbuement system is likely to take quite a bit more time, but AoB has completed the review of the basic structures, concepts, and implementation. So that we are not locked in delay until the AoB Team can escape from RL constraints to get the full review done, a beta release allows us to get it into the game with some caveats.
We all, therefore, need to have an understanding about how this must work. It is quite possible that some aspect of the imbuement system will stray outside the boundaries of what we anticipated for safe balance. Because of this, we are preparing the infrastructure to make it possible to turn certain imbuements "off" at Admin discretion. Naturally, the goal is to avoid this necessity, but everyone should be prepared for a few "adjustments" to the system should something be deemed problematic or needing revision.
What remains, therefore, is to complete some small portions of documentation, to clean up the "not yet open" roadblocks that are in place, and to trigger the mini-event that will launch imbuements into the game.
More information very soon!

p.s. Lavellan has been such a HUGE part of this. Thank him if you get a chance.
Mmmmmm ... pie ...
