play a ss kender ... and come again how much smash sucks ass compared to let's say sling
Yea I have an alt there

And sling still hurts more tbh, the only way smash does good damage is if the target has no helm, if they are wearing as much as even a cloth cap you have to hit them 50 times to do anything

Even though I would like to play Genesis, I can't find the time to do it.
My life just doesn't leave me enough time to play. What free time I have after work, and the kids have been put to bed, just doesn't cover everything I want to do, so I have to select a few things to spend it on, and Genesis just doesn't make that cut anymore.
As sad as it may be, it just is how things are these days.
I do tend to miss the days of youth, where you could do what you want, whenever you wanted.

I appreciate the honesty, Avatar. I am in a similar boat, actually, but Genesis continues to make the cut. What would change the equation for you so that it would continue to make the cut in your case?

I agree Avatar, Genesis sadly dosnt make the cut anymore. Ill rather watch some top gear or actually just read in silence compared to playing genesis, walk the dog, visit friends, watch the telly. just so many other things to do. and when basic all the local boys but hektor abandoned genesis.. well its just no fun. (not that hektor isnt fun to play with) but your mates.. those who got you in to the game, they are mostly long gone..

People would change that fact I guess. Friends of old, and generally just people whose company I could/would enjoy.
The few times I tried playing in the last year or two, I have been alone in my travels. There aren't really any of my old compadres around anymore and those that are around, generally stick to themselves in order to grow the heck out of their characters.
I play Genesis for the sake of roleplay, not grinding. It just seems my mentality is not one shared by the majority of the playerbase.
But I do so miss the days of old. I spent most of my fondest moments, during the last 19 years, in this game and would trade them for nothing

I didnt really play for many years during mid-2000 until a few years ago.
What I did fairly recently was to start a new character and tried not to tell anyone about it or who my previous char was. That way you have to make new friends, and it really isnt that hard. Most people (even some of those myth-grinders) are open to new friends. But it requires some work from your part of course. I do not think roleplay is worse now than it was in the past, actually I rather find it the other way around where people tend to be a little more in char than before if anything.
That made the game fun again for me atleast, it was fun to rediscover everything. Also even though almost nobody of the old "genesis-gang" from my town plays anymore, it became another type of game where you learn to know unknown people instead of hanging with your RL friends in-game for the most part. Give it a shot!

Thanks for sharing that, Cherek! Sounds like one answer might be to try creating a new character and forcing yourself to meet new people. I like your challenge.

What if someone misstakes your smallish apparition for a roasted cow?

Some of us has invested a LOT of time in building characters, and it would not be the same to play new ones.
I'm just getting old
