Hmmm. Right.

 Double exp weekends in some of the MMOs I have played did wonders for the population, though.

I got that, but double exp weekends are cool anyway.

At least we got free game time whole week on genesis.

Double regular XP weekends might be cool... allthough I have a feeling those who cant participate will grumble...

And... it will make players even bigger even quicker... I am doubtful!:)

They have to find the way to log on at weekends ;)

Yeah, thought about that too.
For hardcore grinders its just 28,57% extra experience per week.
But hey, they are invincible uber hardcore grinders - we cant compete with them anyway.
Double exp weekends might attract the casual players - which sounds good.
It worked for MMOs. Actually it was just double combat exp for Everquest 2 (no double questexp or craftexp, sorry).
I loved the killing frenzy  Just join the happy team / raid and kill everything.
DIIIIIING!

Yeah why not? I am for trying everything once. Might work! Surely worth a try. One weekend wont do much 'harm' if it doesnt work out.

An interesting way to test it would be to do "double exp" Thursdays or something, and then pay attention to playing trends.

In my opinion weekend is much better for it.
On the workdays, I have significantly less free time. Genesis as it is, requires long periods of time to get equipment,
gather a team and start harvesting exp.

It is easier for me, and I guess for other people as well, to schedule long periods of time for genesis on weekends.
So if you want to cut it to one day, saturday or friday would be better, I think.
But having the possibility to play (and earn double exp) either in friday, saturday, sunday or all of them (YAY!) would be best.

Double exp for me is temptation hard to resist.
