Some wizard got upset I figured out a way for soloing Tom for a period. A couple weeks after I started soloing him I couldn't kill him with a team of 5 because of those heals.

Blackened whips.

Tarax and I owned him with em, took a while, but it worked.. Perhaps they saw that and made the whip so pissy as it is currently..? donno.. Oh well, he can be done., just need the right stuff for it.. But yeah, hes heal is psyko..

Unless I miss something, it looks like to me that the mage was "stunned" after he initiated the spell, thus it was ignored. Probably not unlike some regular specials in the game by various guilds if my memory serves me well.

Yup, some spells and specials that have been initiated fire even if you get stunned while preparing them, others are broken. If this is a feature of some guilds or just code that isnt standardized I have no idea.

if it's supposed to be like that, Genesis would be the only game I played where stuns would NOT stop execution of a prepared move ... especially long cd + short execution stuns are designed for just such moments afaik

My guess is that it is not designed that way on purpose though... but who knows.
Does any of the recoded guild specials work if stunned?

The black-robed hooded male human makes an aggressive move towards you, but
still seems out of breath from being slammed.
Employing Dark Sorcery, the black-robed hooded male human calls the Wind of
Doom.
A few inches in front of him, a dark dense cloud appears.
The cloud forms an almost perfect sphere and grows quickly.
When the cloud is threatening to envelope him, the black-robed hooded male
human makes a quick gesture with both arms.
Quickly the cloud turns into a pale yellow colour and spreads into the
surrounding areas.
When you take a breath, the stinking cloud makes you feel dizzy.
The black-robed hooded male human seems to have recovered from the slam attack.
aggressive movements are nono, but making quick gestures with both arms ... yeye!

I agree, no complete on stun.
Same as no complete on blind we saw on Alorrana's SC log.
You already know the rangers complete brawl when stunned however, has done for years.
So add that one to your list.

surely not in the orc-camp neither after the stun from a poleaxe neither after the self-stun from a slam ... didn't try other forms of stun on myself so far tho

This goes back to when Laurel fought Tarax in an arena fight when he was a monk.
Laurel could knee Tarax and stun him even tho she was plexed at the time.

Wasnt there a point where Genesis consisted of different types of stuns?:
combat-stun (delays/breaks combat and combat specials from starting (not executing - due to poor design maybe?))
total-stun (breaks combat and combat specials from starting and magic from starting)
stop effects (prevents you from moving)
paralyze (total-stun+stop effects)
Or am I totally misguided?
Is it possible we are seeing some various kinds of these types and this is causing some confusion?
Either way. I am hoping the recreation of the magic system will make things more fixed and the same limitations and stun issues for all casters.
