Well, it was just an idea. Someone has to actually do it too. I havent had the time/energy myself. So far.

I'd like to make it though at some time, perhaps as part of the newspaper idea I have had for awhile.

But anyone can start tweeting about Genesis, doesnt have to be a wizard really. I'd follow it for sure.

And I concur that. I really hate every single website cramming FB and Twitter in my face.

While I am personally not a twitter user, fan or fanatic.. and i too don't really understand the fascination with "following" other people's every thought and movement ... i think it would be foolish to discount it as a means of publicity and promotion. While some of us may not use it... there are plenty of those in the world who do. I think it would be a cool way to publicize events or happenings in the realms

ie:
Krougs attack Calian Palace!
Strider is the master Kroug slayer dispatching 45 Krougs. One Casualty.
BDA owns the plains!
A giant rabbit is attacking Sparkle!
etc..

I think it might spur those who are interested in twitter to perhaps log into the game knowing something is going on.

I'm going to pursue these ideas. The path to getting where we need to be to make it happen is somewhat complex and untested, but I think it is great stuff.

Let's see if we can figure out how to promote our MUD using it.

I'd say the first things that need to be posted on it would be

-Every Wednesday... "The Peddlers have set up their kiosk in Sparkle"
-Any time there is a Kroug attack, Sparkle Invasion, the Keep Attacks or the attack on the Neidars
-Any time there is a switch in who owns the plains in Krynn
-Perhaps if some unique item shows up on the auction house? or randomly chosen?
-Obviously if there is a Genesis Event - (Can we talk about having more of these..? and they don't necessarily have to be super elaborte. Perhaps recycle some old ones from 10 years ago would even be nice).
-If Players create their own event and would want it publicized on the account (like the one Beregond did that once) -- there would be a place to request that.
-Certain NPCs going down -- like Balrog, Mergula?

I'm not sure how I feel about posting pk deaths.. I'd personally like to lean away from that
Any other ideas or thoughts of what should be included?

Ogre attacks on the Shadow Union, should be on that list too, then.
