It seems that enchanter will not allow following imbue even if I want to spend 1000 plats on another item.

Not sure what you mean here. You are still limited to one per week, not endless 1 plat imbues. It is exactly like before, but the price is 1 instead of 1000 plats. Or, did I misunderstand you?

Yes. There are players rich enough to buy 400 imbuements in one day, even at 1000 plats each. So, we limit it to once per week.

Some got rich on scripts, some got rich on just being really old and looting a lot, and if rumours are true some abused bugs and got away with it...

Personally I got rich by cashing in on the bounty on Irk.

1000p for a microscopic chance of getting a useful imbue is pretty steep though, since it means only a fraction of the population can use it. Does anyone really use it? I mean even if you got 300.000 platinum (which like a handful people at most have) and doing it 300 times the chances of getting what you want more than a few times arent that great. The odds are actually terrible. Far worse than the Casino in Cadu! But hey, Karkadelt is setting the prices and doesn't force anyone to use it.

Yes, people do use it all the time. The reason it is both limited and very expensive is twofold.

• It allows you to choose the item you want to put it on.
• Unlike crafting items with stones, it is not limited to a single imbuement, but could roll up to three (exotic) just as in nature.

The chance of getting the imbuement you want on the item you want in nature is almost unheard of. With the imbuement payment, you have a much greater chance of getting something you want on the item you want.

I guess maybe not being a grinder makes me not realise the usefulness. It just seems like such a waste of so much money!:)
