Reminds me, how people were angry about UBER knight's block, especially compared to the weak, useless stomp.
Lindros even wanted to trade his stomp for block

How do you want a skill from AG, which you can train up to superior layman (gasp!), to be the 'Oh, we're 5 and we stumbled into you being alone. Time to die!' skill?
What it's supposed to do, is to give you a chance to land a couple more hits, nothing besides that. It does it's job fairly well in my opinion.
Just look at the most recent log that caused this debate, Irk was hurt when he started trying to leave the room, he managed to do that when he was in a bad shape. That's 3 levels of health he lost because of block. And you think it's weak?

Alorrana, you cannot spam block.
You should really try to be blocked, before you speak of the matter.
There is a set timer for each try you do, and you can do nothing about it, even if you try to leave a million times.
Sure, he got away on a bug, and that is going to be fixed.
The next time he won't be that lucky.
You will get him sooner or later.
But try to cool down in the meantime, and stop sounding like every little bump on your road is the end of the world.

Block is good to have. Much better than nothing.
You can't spam it you try once and wait.
We need more balance and other guilds to get interesting crowd control possibilities.
Hopefully it is something that will improve with time.
If you walk into a room and suddenly with 7 similarly sized enemies pounding you it would be good if you could actually be killed.
There was a slight bug with Irk which meant he got out sooner.
But his tanking is what made the block look weak, Neidar are a special case.

All those we fought managed to break block and leave.. How can you say this is working..2 times HUGE HUGE teams has tryed to kill one dwarf..both times he broke the blocks, now third time with bug hes left them dumbstruck again..Bah! block is a facade. should change skill name to "try to prevent someone from escaping the location skill" caus thats all it dos, it prevents.. it dosnt block.. just spam enough and you will break it..
Why did you not wanted to improve knight block before you got it and cried how overpowered knights are?
Would you still want the block to be more powerful if it was 6 Irks hunting you?

That was the warning given to the knights when were were helping the wizards tweak the current version of block. Though we wanted it to be effective, we also didn't want it to be a mechanism where suddenly people use it do kill others. So we tried to temper the ability to be somewhat useful, but not an I-win button.
PvP is a difficult thing to do in the game, and I believe it should remain that way. With global block and ogre quakes, it's gotten a little easier to PvP, but everyone shouldn't be able to kill everyone else on a whim. Even with the attack on Irk, if it was anyone else, even another neidar like Rhynox, they would have died with that trap. He was just uniquely qualified to survive, but just barely. If the dice had rolled different there had been a little more damage done, he would have died there, even with the bug in place.

I will say that I dislike the fact that if you are in a team and blocking an exit you also block your entire team as well.
It is not a problem in the way of crowd control being risky. It sucks because if the leader moves some people get through the block and other's don't and then it seperates the teams up that are doing the blocking.

I don't really have any experience with this but it seems reasonable that if a leader can't get the whole team out then the leader shouldn't be able to leave.
