Skyrim- the game sucks?

Avatar: Thats okay. I get carried away sometimes. And its always so much easier to complain on what someone else did than do it yourself. But thats our right as players, watchers and readers.

I still feel an urge to play it though so it cant be all bad. But just like Targun said it feels like it could have been so much more since they have the tools for a great game, but kind of misses the target, imho.

Just wait for the MOD's that will hit the net, once the dev tools are released. They will likely blow your mind

Avatar: We'll see. I am not easily impressed. Most likely I'll be playing Diablo by then and have forgotten all about Skyrim!

To say something good about Skyrim I do really like the "mood" of the place. The environment really feels alive with the changing weather, wildlife, etc, and I think the music is really nice too. It kind of saves the shortcomings I mentioned before atleast a little bit. And the global story and detailed backstory I like too, its just how its delivered by the NPCs that I feel could have been much better.

Edit: Funny how out-of-game things are more interesting than the actual game itself (I've uninstalled Skyrim after about 3 hours of playing it, never to touch it again, and before you ask: Yes, I admit that I'm a Morrowind junkie).
