Yes, please! A wonderful idea! Help with carrying and fighting I don't care about, but I would really like to see these possibilities for a pet:

Ask pet help:
Pet says: I can give you suggestions for travels, quests, combat or items.

Ask pet travels:
Pet says: We are now in the Sparkle domain. I can show you to Sparkle town, Dwarfheim, Green Oaks or Monastery. I can show you to the docks, if you want to travel to Shire, Krynn, ... or Terel.

Ask pet items:
Pet says: You can pray for a weapon i the church, we can go to the apple tree for some food, I can lead you to the newbie bins in Sparkle, Dwarfheim or Green Oaks, or to the shop in Sparkle. (Yes, an apple tree for lowbies would be really helpful!)

Ask pet combat:
Pet says: We can kill rats in town, small orcs in the orc fortress, big orcs in the orc camp and elves in Green Oaks. The first ones are the easiest, and the last ones the toughest.

Ask pet quests:
Pet says: Nikolon, the Sparkle librarian, Has a couple of tasks. Rommik, the auctioneer, would appreciate a break. And Menerial, the mayor in Green Oaks needs help with a number of things.

Ask pet camp:
Pet says: From here, you should go: west, two north, 15 west, southwest, three south
<walking west, two north, 15 west, southwest, then standing still> After 5 seconds:
Pet says: From here, you should go: three south
<walking 3 south>
Pet says: The camp is southeast of here. You should find lots of orcs there, of different sizes. They are not aggressive, but if you attack an orc, all other orcs there will assist him, so try to find them when alone. And remember to "compare stats with orc" to see how tough he is.

A lot of work, yes. But it sure would help new people getting started.
Oh, and yes, please add some torches to the Sparkle shop.

Yeah an equipment shop in sparkle would be nice.
Its not a long way to gont etc but Sparkle is the hub afterall.

I think the work that has been done on the magic map and the two new questmasters (multiple quests given) and content in Sparkle is really amazing top notch stuff.
Nice the quests also give gold as a newb loves to see those skills go a little higher.

Would be good to add something which is daily repeatable.
Like a bounty for killing the rats and rodents aka Pelagir style.

As for the guide itself, there was one on an external website. But that is now 404.
So did we move it to the official website?

With the upcomming promotion effort will be good to get these ducks in a row so to speak.

I've got one... split in four parts, of which 1 and 4 needs a lot more work, and 2 has to be rewritten. I'll be working on them unregularly and don't plan to make them into anything niftier than raw text, but if anyone else is interested in putting some effort into making a good guide, feel free to take anything from my files that can help you.
