Uther: I see. Well redoing everything might be a little extreme... I dont think we need to redo everything though like Arcon suggests, but perhaps add that other way to the existing one would be a good start?

Cherek, you should also note that lowering xp gain from monsters will just make people grind longer and more, not stop it.
Perhaps if killing things didn't give you any xp but would increase your skills (training them would only increase the skill cap, not the skill itself) and combat skills would deteriorate over time. This way there would be no incentive for non-stop grinding, yet going out and killing things would actually be useful to everybody.

I never suggested lowering any XP, I only agreed with the suggestion of adding "bosses" for an alternate way of grinding. _Together_ with the current way. If you want to discuss lowering of XP I think you should direct your questions to Arcon.
Lowering XP on everything now will probably have very dramatic effects which I personally dont think we need right now.
