Ogres are not a real race, as such they'll never work correctly with the rankings as implemented currently.
And it's probably not someting that should be fixed. Except by perhaps promoting ogres to real-race status.

Oh yeah... Mr. OgreToyBoy made me aware of the fact that he and other ogres are showing up in the minds section, which should not be possible of course. Maybe many of you already knew this, but it was news for me.

So, Ogres dont work well with rankings. The ogre base race stats are measured, not the actual ogre stats. I dont know how ogre stats work so kind of waiting for Gorboth to get back to have a chat about that, to see if anything can be done. The ogres did not even exist when the rankings script was created so most likely ogres have never showed up correct on rankings. I am surprised nobody has noticed it before, or noticed it but not mentioned it until now.

I had a conversation with Gorboth a few weeks ago about it. Problem is, when you become an Ogre, your original base stats change based on a new system. While you may see [numbers removed] str/con, your actual reported numbers are lower, in the same way it is when you wear imbued items. Manglor as Ogre showed up in strong/sturdy because of my years pumping those stats as a dwarf, the change to the new race didn't affect it all that much. But would also explain why you see Ogres in dex/mental stats.

The Ogres take a character's base-race stats and, at login, transform them to ogre-race stats. The rankings check the playerfiles, which only have the base-race stats.

Still doing it manually each week. So they're working again now. Until next tuesday.
