This is in line with what I was trying to point out before and I think that the many shades of grey available to the game can make it more interesting. I don't see this good/evil thing at all in my RP frankly.

In the past, the Khiraa was not the ally of the MM, even though they were both evil caster guilds (at least half of the Khiraa was). Actually those two guilds were not friends at all. The Khiraa were the closest equivalent to the Cult of Chemost, from what Gorboth have said about it so far.
Plus these days the PoT and the MM are not friends either.
There has never really been a evil-version of the Alliance of Elnoven, so I think having more evil-aligned guilds than good-aligned ones, may not be such a big problem after all.
If anything, history should show us that the opposite might be more of a problem.
Anyways I think it may be a bit too simplistic to only look at the actual alignment restrictions of the guilds. Even if some guilds have strict hardcoded alignment restrictions on who they can team with.

I didn't know that

Thanks for the insight!

Zauhak agrees with you. The Morgul Mages seek the One Ring to bring about the destruction of the world so that their master can be once again re-united with Morgoth. What's so wrong with that?! It's a story about brotherhood, love and admiration, not evil! We struggle daily against the oppression of the West.

Totally agree with you, but game mechanics doesn't.
There are a lot of alignment dependent stuff in Gen. That forces people to be divided on evil and good aligned.
For example people cannot be Dragonarmy soldier that decided on his free time to serve as Militiaman of Thornlin, or Solamnian Knight being part of Army of Angmar?
I say remove "alignment" factor. Let guilds be governed by RP and politics because of game mechanic.

The moment I'd see Knight/Angmarim I'd leave forever...

Lets say, Knight promised his help to adventurer who accidently was AA captain.
Or Melkor spy and incognito angmarian soldier could infiltrate honorable army of Solamnia?
Why game mechanics should limit it and not RP?

I think he meant the guild combination, not the team combination.

An incognito AA infiltrating the knights may imply guild membership. Though, I personally don't see this as wrong as it creates dilemmas and ingame "issues", which may add to the gameplay.

A lay AA can technically join niggets.
